Terms of Service

Terms for using PlugSense, its website, and related services.

These terms cover the PlugSense app, plugsense.app, community check-ins, route planning, Tesla account linking, and the backend services that support them.

The service

PlugSense is an EV charging app and website focused on reliability-first charging decisions. It offers map-based charger discovery, station detail views, route planning, live presence, community check-ins, saved chargers, profile features, predictions, and optional Tesla account linking.

By using PlugSense, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Accounts

Community content

PlugSense depends on trustworthy user contributions. When you submit check-ins, notes, or photos, you keep ownership of that content but grant PlugSense a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute it as needed to operate and improve the service.

Tesla and third-party services

If you connect a Tesla account, you authorize PlugSense to relay Tesla OAuth requests, retrieve vehicle charging state, and send charging commands you explicitly initiate. Tesla functionality depends on Tesla systems and your Tesla account permissions.

Acceptable use

Data quality, route planning, and liability limits

PlugSense provides decision support, not guarantees. Charger availability, pricing, route feasibility, best-time predictions, Tesla state, and community content may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated.

No warranty: PlugSense is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the fullest extent permitted by law. PlugSense disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlugSense is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from reliance on charger data, route plans, predictions, or third-party integrations. Any direct liability is limited to the amount you paid PlugSense in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

Termination, changes, and governing rules

PlugSense may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also revise these Terms by updating this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms are governed by the law that applies where PlugSense is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.
